Some Interesting News

I've been told by dovac at yande.re that sometime soon, Moebooru will be easy to install, and available for Windows. All you'll need to do is install Postgre, then Moebooru (maybe some more stuff like Rails) and you're done, official Moebooru for you to use.
I don't really understand how, heh, but that's the point.

Is this the end of MyImouto?

lol. This ain't happening soon anyway.

  1. Holy shit thank you!

I was just setting up My Imouto Booru last night for my new web project, and I check the wiki this morning and it happens to be the day 0.1.9 comes out.

Question does the batch upload work yet?

  2. Well I can't use 0.1.9 until I upgrade as my host doesn't support 5.4 yet.

Do you think you could help me get batch upload working on 0.1.8 though? Someone on /jp/ said he had it working without any modifications, but I'm not sure how.

    1. (I think I didnt reply to you in the comment below)
Do you mean the Batch Upload or Import feature?

    2. What the....
The wiki pages have disappeared! I think this is the second time this happens.

      Alright, re-created.

To upload a large amount of files there's a custom feature called Import (it's explained in the WhatIsMyImouto wiki, here: http://code.google.com/p/my-imouto-booru/wiki/WhatIsMyImouto).

Let me know if that satisfy your needs.

    3. Well I'm trying to test it by setting up 0.1.9 (I got a new host because I needed a new one anyways), but I keep getting a blank page instead of the installation page.

I have it configured as the all of the files being in root, and not /root/folder.

    4. Completely blank page? No errors or anything? No HTML code?
Check if the /logs/error.log file exists.
Make sure your page is pointing to the /public folder, where the index.php file is, not to the folder where the app's folders are.

    5. The blank page was actually when 5.4 wasn't enabled. I recompiled php/apache for 5.4

Now it gives me "Fatal error: Call to a member function dispatcher() on a non-object in /home/elotips/images/lib/Rails/Rails.php on line 280" when trying to bring up the installation page.

Happened on two installs. I know you're not tech support, but I figured you might be interested.Thanks.

    6. Sorry for the low quality of the framework that can't handle errors that well!

I'm trying but I can't reproduce the error. Can I email you about this, in case you haven't fixed the error yet?

  3. Yeah, sorry for that. PHP 5.4 is just really great.

Eeh... What's the problem with batch upload again?

    1. Trying to access the page gives me 404, but everything else on the installation works except for a few links in the "more" section which I assume are the incomplete features mentioned in the wiki.

This is has happened this time, and also when I tried it several months ago on a different install.

    2. And yes I mean batch upload not import. I'm not sure what that is.

  4. Haha, I enjoyed your little skit there. I appreciate your hard work on this. (Bro fist)

The point is that moebooru should run on jruby (ruby on java), so you don't need to install all these ruby, rails, gems etc. Everything may be packed as single .jar

Also, there are gelbooru and shimmie as competitor php boards.

    Good luck :)
